Dancing 'Round the Handbags strikes the right note in Swindon

How many different tunes do you find yourself dancing to every day? Surely you should be dancing to a different tune of your own choosing? This was the premise of ‘Dancing ‘Round the Handbags’, a seminar for hard working businesswomen held recently in Swindon.
Reassuringly it was Diane Morgan from Morgan PR who grabbed her Radley and attended the aptly titled ‘The Dance Workshop’ with Lynne Copp, Managing Director of the Worklife Company. One of a growing range of events organised by the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce, it was a terrific seminar.
Lynne (pictured right) has written a book and devised a programme, dealing with the many roles that women ‘dance’ each day, to tunes perhaps not all of their choosing. The book is eagerly awaited and will be published early 2010. It is worth asking Lynne herself about how she got the concept for her book, it’s a very interesting and inspiring story!
The Dance workshop concentrates on the multiple roles that women carry out every day, those of mother, wife, boss, daughter etc and how we can reprioritise to remember our own dreams and potential. The day included a great mix of story telling, quizzes, goal setting and even a visualisation. There is a second workshop focusing on The Handbag, with each item in the bag representing one element of what it means to be female.
Lynne is an excellent and highly experienced trainer and coach and Morgan PR would recommend this workshop to women at every stage in their life. Even better Lynne has two day retreats planned at Champneys in Tring in October and November and what better place to sit and review where you are in your life and how you want to go forward? As she asks, isn’t it time to Dance your Best Life?
