We have been talking Twitter and other social media at a growing number of networking events since late 2008 and each time the audience grows bigger, more enthusiastic and clearly recognises that social media has a role to play in promoting their businesses – and Twitter is one of the most accessible social media tools.
When we guest at networking events we typically see:
Greater attendance by your local members
More Passporters attending than normal
More first time and returning visitors attending
This may also present a good opportunity to gain publicity among your local media as they are keen to explore social media and business. You can invite reporters to come along and see the 4Sight Slot and discover how 4Networking works! We can help you if you need help with publicity.
We will also blog about each event on the 4Sight Twitter Tour here on the Morgan PR website both before and after the event and of course we will be Tweeting about it on Twitter. Both are excellent public relations and search engine optimisation for 4Networking and each specific group we visit.
On the advice of the mighty Brad Burton and 4Sight Slot tour veteran Julian Wellings, we are aiming to deliver the 4Sight Slots within a 90 minute radius of Newbury, which does give us plenty of scope, but perhaps rules out the Scottish fringe of 4Networking (for the time being gentlemen!).

A word of caution! Fridays can be tricky as Nigel Morgan also chairs the Newbury Business Group, the foremost independent networking organisation in West Berkshire (to which 4Networkers are always welcome!) and I need to be certain a deputy can cover before committing to Fridays.
