Use Twitter to find great ideas for your blog

Twitter is brimming with great ideas for blog posts! Just glance at your Twitter feed on any given day, at any time of the day and you will spot things that you could blog about!
Whether it is tweets about blogs or breaking news stories you will find something that interests you and that can be the starting point of finding what to blog about!
Many people publish tips that might inspire you and others tweet links to their own blog posts that offer great advice, iIndeed we have often used guest posts after seeing tweets about of followers own blogs.
Perhaps one of the most powerful examples of how a tweet can lead to a blog post came last month when @ReadingGirl tweeted about someone from a building society had private papers spread out over the table in front of her on train from London to Manchester.
A few tweets later and we had published a story about how a director from the Leek United Building Society was compromising privacy. What followed was a huge amount of traffic with lots of chatter on Twitter driving even more people to a blog, which had ultimately been inspired by a single tweet.
The repercussions of a blog post like this can be far and wide! The Daily Mail’s This is Money column joined in the debate on Twitter and then happily wrote the story as if it were their own! While the Post & Times, the Leek United Building Society’s local newspaper, followed up with a story and gave us a nice plug.
That may be an exceptional example, but Twitter is bursting with potential and I recommend you use it if you get stuck for ideas. Of course, if you are on Twitter (and you should be!) why not blog about how you use the platform!
